What's inside

Built for the questions you ask at the truck.

01 — HUNT CHECK

Can I hunt here? You get a straight answer.

HuntNavi reads your GPS point against the Alberta hunting regulations. That covers protected areas, sanctuaries, town limits, seasons and legal shooting light. Every check comes with the source it's based on, so you can confirm it before you shoot.

02 — OPPORTUNITY EXPLORER

Pick the unit before you pick the tag.

Compare WMUs by season, harvest success, hunter effort and draw odds — on a list or straight on the map, where only units with real survey data carry colour. It covers whitetail, mule deer, moose, elk, sheep, bear, turkey, upland birds and more.

03 — LEASES & LAND

Know whose land it is, and who to call.

Lease boundaries and leaseholder info are right on the map, along with what Alberta's Recreational Access Regulation requires before you walk in. Call or email the leaseholder from the card; posted conditions and your own notes stay with the lease.

04 — WMU MAP

See which units HuntNavi knows, before you drive there.

Real WMU boundaries on satellite imagery. Units with the full rule set are live, units with season dates only are dashed, and closed areas are hatched so you can see the line without being able to select it. Tap a unit for its seasons, draws, access mix and a verdict for today.

Why HuntNavi exists

A friend of mine hunted in a road-corridor wildlife sanctuary. The sign was buried under snow and he never saw it. That mistake cost him $2,000 and a one-year suspension.

I hunt in Alberta, and I knew it could have been any of us. Signs get missed and boundaries are hard to see on the ground. So I'm building the app I wish he'd had: one that tells you where you stand, what the rules say and where they come from, before you ever take a shot.
